Write for
the Quarterly

We publish essays and articles by people with real knowledge of their subject: practitioners, researchers, historians and writers working in the esoteric field.

The
brief.

What we look for

  • A clear specialism
  • Writing drawn from practice or study
  • Plain language a general reader can follow
  • 1,200 to 2,000 words

What we do not publish

  • Text generated by AI
  • Promotional pieces
  • Work published elsewhere

Your writing.
Your work.

What contributors receive: your article in the Quarterly, an invitation to appear as a guest on Harmonic Being in Conversation to discuss it, a biography with photograph, a link to your book, podcast or practice, a page on this site and a print copy of the issue. Writers keep all rights to their work.

How it works together: the Quarterly and the podcast promote each other and everyone who takes part. Each article is paired with a podcast conversation with its author. Both carry your book, your podcast or your practice to our readers and listeners.

Regular contributors: we are building a group of regular contributors. Writers whose first piece works well are invited to write again.

Payment: the Quarterly is new and does not yet pay for contributions. The Quarterly and Harmonic Being in Conversation are both built to earn an income, and we intend to pay contributors from it.
