The compass in our chest

Paul Marshall on approval, intuition and learning to listen to your own voice.

Gentle waves under a pastel sky, from Paul Marshall’s shoreline video

You will never be free until you realise this: it is never about what they think about you. It was always about whether you listen to yourself and what that inner voice is saying.

We spent so much of life chasing approval, fitting into shapes that were never ours to mould, walking paths paved by other people's expectations. But have you noticed, the more we chase what pleases them, the further we drift from what fulfils us?

The universe gave us a compass, not in our pocket, but in our chest. Our intuition is the conversation of the cosmos through us, yet how often do we trust our fear more than we trust that insistent knowing?

Do not fear walking alone. Do not fear growing alone, because to stand in our own light is to remember our truth. Those who are meant for our journey will find us, as I found you.

Excerpts from Harmonic Being

The breath that opens a door

I was not frightened. I was curious — unsettled in the way a child is unsettled when something falls outside the categories they’ve been given.
